Will rain sink the dish?

Hi thanks for the good information on the site. My question is I live near Miami and I'm worried the dish will have all sorts of problems with the rain. I've heard good and bad. Can somebody with experience give me some tips. Thank you much.

Well I wasn't sure if this would work for my mobile home but after 2 weeks of looking around I set it up last week. The reception is better than I thought and now wife and I can watch tv on the road. Thanks for those that helped along the way!

What can I do here in Hawaii??

Just wanted to quickly mention that I started watching satellite tv 2 weeks ago and wish I made the move long ago. I get a ton more channels and am paying less; can't beat that. Thank you for the site which helped me making my choice.
